These Terms govern your access to and use of northpoint.fi, the free compliance check tools, and any consultancy services delivered by NorthPoint Marketing Solutions Oy (Lapinlahdenkatu 16, 00180 Helsinki, Finland; VAT FI34987341), collectively “NorthPoint”.
NorthPoint is a marketing consultancy. We provide one commercial offering and a public set of free tools.
Plans are billed monthly in advance. You may cancel any plan at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month, and work delivered up to that point remains yours. Enterprise scope is agreed per engagement in a written statement of work; its cancellation terms are the same unless that statement of work says otherwise.
A plan serves a single organisation. Group companies or an agency engaging on behalf of a named client are agreed in the engagement scope.
NorthPoint is a marketing consultancy. We are not a law firm. The free check tools are heuristic, pattern-based scans, and the compliance pre-flight included in the plans is an operator-grade interpretation — written by people who have run marketing at international crypto exchanges — reflecting our reading of the relevant regimes (MiCA, GDPR, FCA, SEC, MAS, VARA). None of it constitutes legal advice or creates a lawyer-client relationship.
For binding regulatory matters, licensing decisions, enforcement responses, or any situation where legal exposure depends on a specific interpretation, retain qualified counsel in the relevant jurisdiction.
Consulting work is produced with AI tooling operating under the operator’s direction and review. Confidentiality, data handling, and any restrictions on tooling are agreed per engagement before work begins.
You own what you provide to us, and you own the deliverables produced for you under an engagement — strategies, campaign assets, reports, and plans — once the invoices covering them are paid.
NorthPoint retains its pre-existing and reusable intellectual property: the published rule packs, check tools, templates, playbooks, and the underlying methodology. Nothing client-specific is reused for another client.
Open-source assets published in the public jukkablomberg/northpoint repository are licensed separately under the terms stated in each repo.
You may not: scrape or bulk-export the rule packs or check tools; misrepresent free-check output as a professional audit or legal opinion; submit content you do not have the right to process; or attempt to circumvent the rate limits enforced on the free tools.
We provide the service with reasonable professional care but make no warranty that any check will identify every issue or that any marketing outcome will follow from acting on our work. Marketing results depend on factors outside our control.
NorthPoint’s total liability for any claim arising from the service is capped at the fees you paid to NorthPoint in the 12 months immediately before the claim. NorthPoint is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages, including lost profits or lost opportunity. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot lawfully be excluded under Finnish law.
You may cancel a plan at any time as described above. NorthPoint may terminate or suspend an engagement for breach of the “What you may not do” section, for non-payment, or where required by law. On termination, deliverables produced and paid for are handed over, and data retention is governed by the Privacy notice.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Helsinki District Court (Helsingin käräjäoikeus), unless mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to proceed elsewhere.
Material changes are notified to active clients by email. The revised Terms and a new “Last updated” date are posted on this page. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
