ESMA MiCA register changes.

A dated log of what actually moved on ESMA’s two MiCA registers — the register of authorised crypto-asset service providers and the register of non-compliant entities providing crypto-asset services. Each entry is produced by re-fetching ESMA’s own published register files and diffing them against the previous snapshot, and reproduces the entity name, the national competent authority and the register date exactly as ESMA records them. This is general information for EU users and marketing teams, not legal advice and not a determination of any firm’s status. Naming an entity here reproduces a published regulatory listing at a point in time — it is not an allegation of wrongdoing.

Read this first. ESMA republishes these registers weekly and entries can be added, amended or removed at any time. Everything below is a point-in-time reproduction of a public register file, with the file’s own date attached. Absence from the non-compliant register is not evidence that an entity is authorised, and presence on it is a published regulatory listing concerning authorisation under MiCA — not a finding of wrongdoing. ESMA’s register of authorised crypto-asset service providers (CASPS.csv) is dated 16 July 2026 and carries 294 authorised CASPs (+14 vs 280 in the file dated 2026-07-15).

ESMA’s register update dated 16 July 2026 added 14 authorised crypto-asset service providers, taking the register from 280 to 294. Reported additions include Ripple Payments Europe, Portugal’s Bison Bank and Croatia’s Hrvatska poštanska banka. Carried forward from the figures already published on NorthPoint’s CASP tracker; entity-level detail for this update was not machine-diffed.

16 July 2026 Non-compliant entities

ESMA’s register of non-compliant entities providing crypto-asset services (NCASP.csv) is dated 16 July 2026 and carries 164 entries (+2 vs 162 in the file dated 2026-07-13).

ESMA’s register update dated 16 July 2026 added two entities to the register of non-compliant entities providing crypto-asset services, following action by Italy’s Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa (CONSOB), taking the register to 164 entries. Carried forward from the figures already published on NorthPoint’s non-compliant register page.

How these figures are counted.

NorthPoint counts the authorised register as distinct (entity, competent authority) pairs: the 312 data rows in ESMA’s CASPS.csv dated 23 July 2026 resolve to 309 entities, because ESMA lists some firms on more than one row. A count of authorisation records rather than distinct entities gives a higher figure from the same file — which is why published totals differ between sources.

Every figure on this page is derived from ESMA’s published register files at the date shown — never from a third-party summary and never from an estimate. Where a register file did not move between runs, no entry is written: this log records movement, not activity.
